Rainbow 6 Carryover At Gulfstream Builds To $795,987 For Thursday

Gulfstream Park’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 will be $795,987.53 when racing resumes Thursday.

Multiple winning tickets Sunday returned $48,864.92. There were three live tickets going into the last leg of the Rainbow 6, but all three failed to hit board.

There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover Thursday of $3,123.56.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Racing resumes Thursday with a nine-race program and a first race post of 1:10 p.m.

Let’s Go Stable’s Wooderson, a 3-year-old half-brother to Hall of Fame member and Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra, finished second in his career debut…Trainer Ralph Nicks not only watched his Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) winner Caledonia Road make a winning return to the races at Belmont Park, but he had two winners at Gulfstream with Hotty Toddy ($7.20) in the eighth and Tropicat ($17.40) in the ninth.
