Jockeys Carrasco, Ferrer Recovering From Delaware Park Spill

Jockeys Jose Ferrer and Victor Carrasco continue to recuperate from injuries sustained in a five-horse spill at Delaware Park Sept. 14.

The Daily Racing Form reports that Carrasco had surgery Friday to repair several breaks in his lower right leg. He is currently recuperating at his home.

Ferrer fractured two vertebrae, broke several ribs, and suffered a collapsed lung. He is in stable condition at Christiana Medical Center. He was scheduled to have surgery on his lung Wednesday.
