Sunday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover At Gulfstream Builds To $1.4 Million

Sunday’s 12-race program at Gulfstream Park will include a Rainbow 6 carryover of $1,457,629.59.

First race post time Sunday is 12:45 p.m.

For the 40th consecutive racing day, there was no single winning ticket Saturday on the popular 20-cent wager. Multiple tickets with six winners returned $39,851.12.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The Rainbow 6 was last solved July 6, when one lucky bettor hit for a $173,583.90 jackpot payoff.

Sunday’s sequence begins with the seventh race, a five furlong event for 2-year-olds. The sequence will include three turf races.

There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $3,437.34.
