Sunday’s Rainbow 6 At Gulfstream Has $1.5 Million Jackpot Guarantee

Gulfstream Park’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 will have a guaranteed pool of $1.5 million when racing resumes Sunday with a 12-race program at the Hallandale Beach, Fla., track.

First race post is 12:45 p.m.

Unsolved for the seventh consecutive program, multiple tickets Saturday with all six winners each returned $2,478.62.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 kicked off with the seventh race, won by 7-5 favorite Positive Phil ($4.80). It also included the $100,000 Big Drama, won by Network Effect, the $75,000 Honey Ryder, won by Micheline, and the $75,000 English Channel, where Gofu was victorious.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Sunday’s Rainbow 6 kicks off with Race 7, a $50,000 maiden event for fillies and mares at a mile. The sequence also includes three turf races.
