Sunday: With Five Of Six On Turf, Gulfstream’s Rainbow 6 Features $326,291 Carryover

Gulfstream Park will offer a 13-race program Sunday with a Rainbow 6 carryover of $326,291.43.

First race post Sunday is noon.

Multiple winning tickets with six winners Saturday returned a generous $59,793.52.

Sunday’s Rainbow 6 will kick off with the eighth race, a maiden special weight event over a mile turf course for 3-year-olds. Starters in the eighth come from the stables of Bill Mott, James Jerkens, Kiaran McLaughlin, Mark Hennig, Ian Wilkes and Chad Brown.

Five of the races in the Rainbow 6 sequence will be contested on Gulfstream’s turf course.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Since the 2018-19 Championship Meet kicked off Dec. 1, the Rainbow 6 has been hit seven times, most recently for a $227,505.88 payout Feb. 15.
