Special Painting Released To Commemorate Clasico Del Caribe At Gulfstream

A painting to commemorate the historic running of the Clasico Internacional del Caribe at Gulfstream Park Saturday, Dec. 9 will be available in a limited number of prints beginning Wednesday at Gulfstream Park.

The painting was commissioned by Gulfstream to celebrate the track playing host to the Clasico Internacional del Caribe, the premier Thoroughbred event in Latin America and the Caribbean. Gulfstream will be the first pari-mutuel facility in North America to host the event since its inception in 1966.

The colorful painting is by artist Alejandra Palacios, a native of Mexico now living in Hollywood, Fl. Palacios art deconstructs the world she sees and in geometric shapes gives them color and makes them move in a circular pattern that makes her style unique.

The limited prints will be available in Gulfstream’s gift shop for $20.

Post positions will be drawn Wednesday for the five Clasico Internacional del Caribe races at 10:30 a.m. in Ten Palms at Gulfstream. The draw can be watched live by tuning into the Gulfstream Facebook page (facebook.com/GulfstreamPark) or by visiting www.GulfstreamPark.com//racing/live-stream/
