Santa Anita’s popular 20 cent Single Ticket Rainbow Pick Six Jackpot produced a life-changing score on Friday, as one lucky ticket had number three, Best Chance in the day’s eighth and final race and was thus worth $605,997. Best Chance, who was ridden by leading man Joel Rosario, got home on top by 1 ¾ lengths and returned $9.00 to win.
The single winning ticket was purchased for $2,048 (Canadian) via a Woodbine Race Course wagering hub, based in Toronto.
With a carryover of $366,953 from Monday, there was $114,710 in new money wagered today, creating a total pool of $481,663 U.S., which translates to $605,997.20 in Canadian money.
The winning numbers and win payoffs in today’s Rainbow Six, beginning in race three were: R3, (4) $46.00, R4 (5) $13.40, R5 (6) $54.20, R6 (3) $10.00, R7 (4) $15.60 and R8 (3) $9.00.
