Shatner Ejected From Horse Carriage, Gets Right Back In The ‘Saddle’

Famed actor William Shatner (Captain Kirk), 86, has always been a fan of horses, specifically Saddlebreds, and enjoys showing the high-stepping creatures around the state of Kentucky. Reports by Inside Edition show that recently, during an amateur roadster bike class in which the horse pulls a carriage, something spooked his horse causing it to flip over; Shatner was ejected from the seat and hit the ground.

Both Shatner and the horse were reportedly fine after the incident, and Shatner got right back in the “bike” and proceeded to win the competition.

In an interview several weeks prior about his new book, “Spirit of the Horse,” Shatner discussed the fact that his back and legs just didn't work the way they used to before. He went so far as to suggest that doctors may, in the future, tell him he has to quit riding.
