Saturday’s Rainbow 6 Carryover At Gulfstream Up To $247,540

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved Friday at Gulfstream Park, producing a $247,540.19 carryover jackpot for Saturday’s program.

Multiple tickets with five of six winners Friday were each worth $878.52.

The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket sold, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those betters holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The popular multi-race wager has gone unsolved for 11 consecutive programs since a lucky ticketholder cashed for a $98,309.32 jackpot payoff Dec. 7.

Saturday’s six-race Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 6-11.

The $100,000 Mr. Prospector (G3) will be renewed in Race 10. X Y Jet, a dominating winner of the 2015 Mr. Prospector, is set to return from a 13-month layoff in the six-furlong sprint for 3-year-olds and up. The Jorge Navarro-trained 5-year-old gelding, who underwent knee surgery following a subpar showing in the De Francis Memorial Dash at Laurel in November 2016, has been installed as the 7-5 morning-line favorite in a field of 10.

First-race post time is slated for Noon.
