San Luis Rey Fire: Uncle Mo Stallion Season Auction A Major Success

A total of $220,000 will be donated to the Thoroughbred Charities of America’s Horses First Fund following the sale of two no-guarantee seasons to Coolmore stallion, Uncle Mo.

The Daily Racing Form reports that the first 2018 no-guarantee season, which was donated by Coolmore and Mike Repole, brought $110,000 from Gary Barber.

Following the auction, Juddmonte Farms offered to match the winning bid if a second season was made available. That added another $110,000 to the donation, which will go to the horses and people displaced by the wildfires in California.
