Report: Stronach Committee To Review Horses For Final Three Pegasus World Cup Spots

The Stronach Group is in the process of forming a committee to evaluate the horses that are being considered for the three remaining spots that the company bought for its own runners in the Pegasus World Cup.

Tim Ritvo, the company’s chief operating officer, told the Daily Racing Form that the committee would include himself, Mike Rogers, the president of the company’s racing and gaming division; and P.J. Campo, the company’s vice president of racing.

According to the DRF, the committee will review applicants that contact the company seeking one of the available spots. The committee will then determine a way to get the connections into the race.

“We’re drawing up a list, and it will be based on the quality and the chances the horses have in the race,” Ritvo said. “And then each horse will then have kind of a tailored agreement.”
