Rainbow 6 Carryover Up To $1.1 Million For Saturday Card At Gulfstream

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 saw its jackpot carryover swell to $1,108,649.67 after going unsolved for the 22nd consecutive program Friday at Gulfstream Park.

Multiple tickets with all six winners each returned $9,211.32.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 begins in Race 6 and includes three of five stakes for 3-year-olds worth $450,000 in purses on the 11-race program – the $100,000 Kitten’s Joy (Race 7), $100,000 Ginger Brew (Race 9) and $100,000 Mucho Macho Man (Race 10).

Also on the card are the $75,000 Limehouse (Race 3) and $75,000 Glitter Woman (Race 5). First race post time is noon.

The carryover jackpot pool going into Friday’s six-race sequence (Races 5-10) was $1,004,785.38, generating a Rainbow 6 handle of $432,823.

The popular multi-race wager was last solved on Dec. 7, when a lucky ticketholder cashed for a $98,309.32 jackpot payoff.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
