Rainbow 6 Carryover Builds To $276,725 For Sunday’s Card At Gulfstream

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved Saturday at Gulfstream Park, producing a $276,725.44 carryover jackpot for Sunday’s program.

First-race post time for the 12-race program is set for 12:45 p.m.

Multiple tickets with all six winners Saturday were each worth $3,623.54

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The Rainbow 6 has gone unsolved for nine straight racing days following the June 30 mandatory payout of a pool in excess of $4 million that yielded a $196,953.84 payoff for each ticket with all six winners.

Sunday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Race 7-12, featuring a pair of maiden special weight races for 2-year-olds carded as Races 7 and 9.

Trainer Jose Pinchin, who conditions undefeated Fully Loaded, the leading candidate for the upcoming FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes series, will be represented by a first-time starter in each race, as will trainer Todd Pletcher.

Pinchin will saddle Glorious Mystery, a daughter of Gone Astray, for Race 7, a five-furlong dash for fillies with a $65,000 purse; and Jackson, a son of Kantharos, for Race 9, a 4 ½-furlong dash with a $65,000 purse. Pletcher will be represented a pair of first-time starters by Malibu Moon – Lavish in Race 7 and Vegas Tycoon in Race 9.
