Day two of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. Spring 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale is underway, and the Paulick Report’s PR Special is in the hands of buyers, sellers, and other participants around the sales grounds.

In this edition, bloodstock editor Joe Nevills examines the roots of Central Florida’s Thoroughbred industry, which began with the Rosemere Farm of Carl G. Rose and spread across the vast expanses of Ocala land that he once owned.

Shadwell Farm‘s Tamarkuz is the subject of this issue’s Stallion Spotlight, featuring an interview with stallion manager Kent Barnes about the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile winner whose first foals are 2-year-olds of 2020.

Dr. Alan Ruggles of Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital does the answering in the latest Ask Your Veterinarian segment, where he discusses bone bruising and its treatments. Finally, Nevills lists the sophomore stallions in the OBS Spring catalog in Second-Crop Sire Watch.
