PR Special Keeneland November Sale: A Deeper Dive On Radiographs

The marathon Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale is about to start its engine, and the Paulick Report is there with the first of two editions of the PR Special.

In this issue, bloodstock editor Joe Nevills examines the perceived selectivity of the buying bench when imperfect radiographs are bought into a young prospect’s assessment, and what can be done to better educate buyers, sellers, and veterinarians about how radiographs can affect each other’s business.

The Stallion Spotlight focuses on first-crop sire Classic Empire, who is the latest addition to the fraternity of Eclipse Award winners at age two who went on to stand at Ashford Stud. In INQUIRY, Nevills asks the bloodstock community to name a young person in the industry who is poised to make a big leap in the coming years.

This issue’s Ask Your Insurer feature has Muirfield Insurance’s Bryce Burton discussing Fall Of Hammer coverage, and its importance to anyone buying a horse at auction.

The Honor Roll has several members this time around, with Ray Paulick speaking to trainer Mike Maker about his platoon of runners pointing toward the two divisions of the New York Stallion Stakes Series in December. Finally, the First-Crop Sire Roundup gives a roll call of all the stallions whose first weanlings are represented in the Keeneland November catalog.
