On-Track Player Takes Down Santa Anita Single Ticket Pick 6 For $187,560

There was just one winning ticket in Thursday’s Pick 6 at Santa Anita, resulting in a Single Ticket Pick 6 Jackpot payout of $187,559.80.  The singleton was purchased on-track for $1,350.

With a Single Ticket Jackpot carryover of $119,746 carried over from Sunday, there was $104,539 in “new” money wagered Thursday, creating a total Pick 6 pool of $224,285.

Ridden by Ruben Fuentes and trained by Edward Freeman, Wicked Old Fashion slugged it out through the lane and prevailed by three quarters of a length in Thursday’s eighth and final race, which was a $25,000 claimer for older fillies and mares at one mile on turf.  Off at 9-2 in a field of 10, she paid $11.00 to win.

With Thursday’s Pick 6 beginning with race three, the winning numbers were 1, 3, 3, 6, 5 & 1.  There were 19 consolation tickets with five winners, each worth $629.80.

First post time for an eight race card on Friday is at 1 p.m.  Admission gates open at 11 a.m.
