Ohio-Bred Mo Dont No Approaches $1 Million Mark With Cardinal Handicap Victory

Mo Dont No bested a field of seven rivals in a sound gallop in the $75,000 Cardinal Handicap at Mahoning Valley Racecourse on a pleasant Saturday afternoon, Nov. 9.

The 6-year-old son by Uncle Mo—Lilah, by Defrere won by a commanding 3½ lengths with rider Scott Spieth in the irons for trainer Jeff Radosevich and owner Ron Paolucci Racing at odds of 4-1.

Diamond Dust (Geraldo Corrales) was second at 8-1, while 6-1 King Creed (Jose Bracho) held on for third and 14-1 Over Icce (Deshawn Parker) got up for fourth-place honors.

The victory, Mo Dont No’s second of the year in ten starts, brought him closer to the one-million-dollar plateau in earnings.  His career earnings now stand at $983,020 from 19 triumphs, ten seconds and two thirds in 40 starts.  His seasonal coffers are a healthy $118,940.

Bred by the Beachwood Racing Stable, Mo Dont No was timed in 1:11.47 for the six-furlong sprint for Ohio-registered 3-year-olds and up.  He was a $50,000 purchase from the Keeneland Association September 2014 Yearling Sale and won this same stake in 2017 and was second in the 2018 edition of the Cardinal.
