NYRA Racing Secretary ‘Suspended,’ Escorted Off Grounds By Security

The New York Racing Association’s racing secretary was escorted off the grounds at Aqueduct by security on Thursday, according to drf.com. Matt Salvato, promoted to the position just last fall, said he had been “suspended.”

Salvato is “trespassed from NYRA properties as of Jan. 25,” according to NYRA spokesman Pat McKenna. “As it is a personnel matter, we won’t be commenting any further.”

An investigation is ongoing, according to what Salvato told the Daily Racing Form.
