There were nine winners in Friday’s Stronach 5, with each bettor cashing for $21,821.10.

The national Pick 5, with an industry-low 12-percent takeout, started with heavily-favored Bunting winning Laurel Park’s ninth race and ended with Indian Zip winning the final leg of the sequence in Golden Gate Field’s sixth race, returning $23. The sequence also included a $27.60 winner in Major Kelly in Gulfstream Park’s 10th race.

The Maryland Jockey Club serves as host of the Stronach 5. The next Stronach 5 will be held Friday, March 22.
