New Zealand Owner Ruled Off Two Years For Giving Horse Offensive Name

An owner in New Zealand has been handed two one-year suspensions for registering a horse with an offensive name, and for allegedly lying to racing officials about whether he realized the meaning of the name.

According to The Sun, owner Stuart Ruse registered a daughter of Benefica and Loose ‘n’ Lovely as Andiamo Fica. Stewards say the name translates from Italian to mean ‘Let’s Go C***’.

Ruse pled not guilty and told the stewards he was unaware of the meaning at the time he registered the horse. The filly was registered in February according to The Sun, but stewards were alerted to it after she ran under the name in September
