Ministers Wild Cat Colt Tops CTBA Northern California Sale

A colt by Ministers Wild Cat brought a sale-topping $45,000 at Tuesday’s Northern California Yearling and Horses of Racing Age Sale at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, Calif.

The high-bid yearling is out of the multiple stakes-winning Bold Badgett mare Bold Roberta and is a full brother to stakes winner Bella Luma. The colt was bred by Thomas Bachman, consigned by Harris Farms, agent, and purchased by Michael V. Dante of Bellflower.

The high-bid filly was by Smiling Tiger, out of the Tannersmyman mare Tanned Reflection, was bred and consigned by Woodbridge Farm and was purchased by Perry and Denise Martin of California Chrome fame for $24,000.

Tuesday’s sale was the 15th presented in Northern California by the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association in its current format.
