Mandatory Payout Scheduled For Rainbow 6 Sunday At Gulfstream Park West

Mandatory payouts of the 20-cent Rainbow 6, the 50-cent Late Pick 5 and the last-race $1 Super Hi-5 have been scheduled for Sunday’s card at Gulfstream Park West.

The Rainbow 6 will have a carryover jackpot of $13,198.48.

The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket sold, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those betters holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool. However, on mandatory payout days, should the popular multi-race wager go unsolved, the entire pool will be shared by those holding tickets with the most winners.

There will also be a $3,458.15 Super Hi-5 carryover heading into Sunday’s card.

Edgard Zayas rode three straight winners on Saturday’s card at Gulfstream Park West to head into Sunday’s closing-day card  five winners behind Emisael Jaramillo in the race for the jockey’s title. Zayas scored aboard Others Will Follow ($3.80) in the sixth race, August Lilly ($7.40) in the seventh and Stella Performance ($17.80) in the eighth.

Jaramillo leads the defending two-time titlist, 49-44.

Antonio Sano leads Ralph Ziadie, 17-11, in the trainer’s race.

Grupo 7C  Racing Stable holds a 9-6 edge in the owner’s race over Monarch Stable, Frank Calabrese and Magic Stables.
