Love and Pride, an 11-year-old mare owned by Three Chimneys Farm, delivered a filly by Gun Runner at 11:20 p.m. on March 2 as part of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame’s Foal Patrol Season 2.
The delivery went well and both mare and foal are in excellent health. Love and Pride is one of eight mares participating in Foal Patrol Season 2. The next mare scheduled to foal is Starr Bear at Double Diamond Farm in Ocala, Fla. She is due any day now. Love and Pride is the third Foal Patrol mare to deliver this season, following LNJ Foxwoods’ With Honors and Old Tavern Farm’s Comme Chez Soi.
Foal Patrol is a one-of-a-kind interactive web project. Season 2 features a collection of live cameras where people can view real-time streams of several in-foal mares and the stallion Frosted.
The live camera feeds will be available according to each horse’s daily schedule, set by the farm. For more information, or to sign up for news and special alerts, please visit www.foalpatrol.com.
