LNJ Foxwoods To Sell Full Sister To Zoffany In Foal To Frankel At Goffs London Sale

Landikusic, a winning full sister to Zoffany in foal to Frankel has been announced as the spectacular first entry for the 2018 Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO. The 5-year-old daughter of Dansili is also a half-sister to Group 2 Futurity Stakes winner and Group 1 Goffs National Stakes placed Rostropovich who sold for over 1 million guineas as a yearling.

Henry Beeby, group chief executive of Goffs said: “Landikusic has a blue-chip pedigree and together with her Frankel covering is worthy of significant global interest.  I saw her at the National Stud in Newmarket and she is a most attractive prospect.  Indeed, one of the best advertisements for the mare is her beautiful Galileo foal who would give any purchaser great confidence that her future produce will have Classic potential.

“We are delighted and very grateful that the owners have chosen Goffs London Sale to offer Landikusic for sale.  She is a perfect example of the calibre of mare that should excel in London and we look forward to promoting her over the next two months to the many international buyers expected to attend the sale on the eve of Royal Ascot.”

Jason Litt of Solis Litt Bloodstock, on behalf of the owners, commented: “LNJ Foxwoods is honored to partner with Goffs, QIPCO, GBRI and the National Stud in offering Landikusic. Frankel and Zoffany were both tremendous Ascot performers making the Goffs London Sale a natural fit for this regally bred mare.”

James Oldring, operations director for Great British Racing International said: “We’re absolutely delighted to see a broodmare with the quality of Landikusic entered for the 2018 Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO. It’s a testament to the reputation of Britain as a world leading source of bloodstock that the owners have chosen to offer her here and thanks must go to GBRI’s representative in the US, Carter Carnegie, and to Solis Litt Bloodstock, for everything they have done to make this possible. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming the Roths (Larry, Nanci and Jaime Roth, the owners of LNJ Foxwoods) to London, and of course to giving them their first experience of the Royal Meeting at Ascot.”

The fifth renewal of the Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO will once again take place on the eve of Royal Ascot, Monday, June  18, 2018.  A sale like no other, it gives buyers from around globe the unique opportunity to buy into top quality bloodstock and horses with entries at the Royal Meeting the same week.

Frankel fever lit up the inaugural London Sale in 2014 as a mare in foal to Frankel with a foal by him at foot sold for £1,150,000.  The same sale saw a top price of £1.3 million for Cappella Sansevero who finished a close second in the Coventry Stakes the following day.  The 2016 renewal was topped by Irish 1000 Guineas winner Jet Setting who also sold for £1.3 million, while last year the Classic placed Lockheed topped the sale when bought for £900,000 to go to Hong Kong.

The Goffs London Sale has sold the highest priced horses in training and recorded the highest HIT average in the UK in each of the past four years.  Graduates of the sale include Australian Group 1 winner Pornichet, Classic winner Harbour Law and Saudi Arabian Group 1 winner Smoking Sun as well as Stakes winners such as Realtra, Jet Setting, Madam Dancealot and Mirage.

This year’s sale will take place at a new and improved location, albeit at the same address, on the greenfield Perks Field site adjacent to Kensington Palace while renovations take place at The Orangery.

Horses In Training and Breeding Stock nominations are now being taken.  International buyers are looking for Royal Ascot runners and horses with export potential for key races in Australia, the Middle East and Hong Kong, while broodmares in foal to elite sires such as Frankel, Galileo and Dubawi, or exciting freshman sires, will be considered as well as well-bred older fillies who may have to be retired in April, May or June.

Nominations for horses in training and breeding stock entries are now open and can be made by contacting Goffs on +353 45 886600 or online at www.GoffsLondonSale.com
