Leading Freshman Sire Overanalyze Exported To Korea

Overanalyze, a Grade 1 winner and the leading freshman sire of 2017 by earnings, has been exported to Korea to continue his stallion career.

The 10-year-old son of Dixie Union arrived in the country on April 10, per Korea Racing Authority records.

Overanalyze stood his entire domestic stallion career at WinStar Farm in Versailles, Ky., where he entered stud in 2014.

He earned the freshman sire title by earnings in 2017, with 26 winners and earnings of $1,646,764, edging out runner-up Violence by just $76,122. Leading the charge for Overanalyze’s initial crop that season was Piedi Bianchi, an Indiana-bred who finished in the money in a trio of Grade 1 races.

Breeders took note of the stallion’s early success, and Overanalyze covered 75 more mares in 2018 than he did the previous season, bringing his book to 195 mares and marking the third-biggest jump in North America that season. That number came crashing back to earth in 2019, when he bred 43 mares.

Though his first crop put him at the top of his class, the best runner by Overanalyze to date has come from his second crop. Hog Creek Hustle has emerged as a reliable competitor in the dirt sprint division, and he is his sire’s only graded stakes winner to date, taking the Grade 1 Woody Stephens Stakes last year at Belmont Park.

On his own accord, Overanalyze won four of 11 starts for earnings of $1,046,381. After breaking his maiden on debut at Saratoga Race Course, the colt came back two starts later to win the G2 Futurity Stakes at Belmont, and he finished the season with another score in the G2 Remsen Stakes. Overanalyze’s 3-year-old campaign included a win in the G1 Arkansas Derby, en route to a start in the 2013 Kentucky Derby.

Bred in Kentucky by Diamond A Racing Corp., Overanalyze is out of the unraced Unaccounted For mare Unacloud, whose foals also include Grade 1 winner Meadow Breeze, Grade 1-placed Majesto, and Grade 2-placed Mighty Monsoon.
