Keeneland Presents American Graded Stakes Standings: Pretty (Dar)N Cool

Pretty N Cool showed no signs of rust when she powered away in the stretch to win the Grade 3 Las Flores Stakes at Santa Anita. It was the first race in six months for the 4-year-old Scat Daddy filly, who improved her record to five wins in 11 career starts.

Pretty N Cool's Las Flores victory provided the filly's owners, Karl Watson, Mike Pegram, and Paul Weitman with their second graded stakes winner of 2017. That moves the partnership into a three-way tie for second on the American Graded Stakes Standings owners list. In addition to Pretty N Cool, the trio own the hard-knocking veteran, Hoppertunity, winner of the G2 San Antonio in February.

Tied with Watson, Pegram, and Weitman on the AGS owners list with two individual graded stakes winners that have won a total of two graded stakes are Jerry and Ann Moss, who campaign Royal Mo (G3 Robert B. Lewis) and Gormley (G3 Sham); and Sheep Pond Partners, who campaign Rymska (G3 Sweetest Chant) and Wake Forest (G2 Mac Diarmida).

The stallion Unbridled's Song continues to have an impact on the AGS sires list, despite his untimely death in 2013. The former Taylor Made stalwart is the sire of three individual graded stakes winner thus far in 2017, placing him in third on the AGS sire list.

Unbridled's Song's newest graded stakes winner is Bird Song, winner of the G3 Fred W. Hooper. Bird Song joins Arrogate (G1 Pegasus World Cup) and Squadron A (G3 Mr. Prospector) as his graded stakes winners this year.
