Jockey Torres Injured In Spill At Fair Grounds; Mount Euthanized

Jockey Cisco Torres has been injured following the fatal breakdown of his mount, Aaron of Goshen, in the sixth race Thursday at Fair Grounds. Torres was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, according to the Daily Racing Form's Jay Privman, but his condition is unknown.

Zarby's Derby Day and jockey Marcelino Pedroza fell over downed Aaron of Goshen. Fair Grounds officials indicated Pedroza was uninjured.

Privman later reported Torres had been taken to the University Medical Center in New Orleans due to neck pain, per the track's publicity department.
