Inclement Weather Forces Tattersalls Ireland To Cancel December Sale

Treacherous roads and freezing temperatures forced officials with Tattersalls Ireland to cancel the Ascot December Sale which was to be held Dec. 11. Tattersalls confirmed that the sale would not be rescheduled.

According to a statement released by Tattersalls, the organization “has confirmed that it has not been possible to reschedule the Ascot December sale, which had been due to take place today but was cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.”

Company officials said that all applicable entry fees would be refunded to vendors. All vendors will be given the option of transferring horses entered in the sale to either the February sale in Newmarket on Feb. 1-2, 2018, or the next scheduled sale in Ireland March 28.
