Horse Van Involved In Rollover Crash Near Lexington; Firefighters Free Three Trapped Horses

Lexington firefighters had to extricate two horses and a foal after the trailer they were being hauled in overturned on Iron Works Pike.

WLEX-TV reports that although emergency crews had to cut into the trailer to free the horses, all three were up and walking okay once freed. They were taken to a nearby equine clinic to be examined.

According to Lexington police, the accident occurred around 9:45 a.m. when a car pulled out in front of the truck hauling the trailer. The driver of the truck tried to avoid the car and ended up rolling his vehicle and the trailer.
