Horse That Survived KY Shooting Spree Up For Adoption

Knox is one of three horses being cared for by the Kentucky Humane Society after nearly 20 horses were shot and killed near the Pike and Floyd County. The 9-month-old is now searching for his forever home, preferably with someone who is an experience horse person and who owns another horse.Though originally leery of people, Knox is now outgoing and “all boy,” says Shara Wiesenauer, Kentucky Humane Society’s Director of Equine Programs.

Knox, Hope and Diamond, the other two horses under the care of the Kentucky Humane Society, are currently housed at Willow Hope Farm. Hope and Diamond are healthy, but are not ready for adoption yet. Hope is pregnant and will foal sometime soon, though the exact date is unknown.
