Horse Rescued From Abandoned Trailer In Arizona

Firefighters in Phoenix, Az. worked alongside veterinarians on Saturday to free a horse from an abandoned horse trailer that was found wrecked, according to reports. Police were notified after a passerby noticed the trailer on the side of the road and what looked like a horse trapped inside.

Captain Jake Van Hook of the Phoenix Fire Department said officials thought the trailer became damaged due to a sudden stop, which sent the horse forward, breaking through the front of the trainer, which was weakened due to rust. The horse was trapped under the trailer hitch until rescuers could sedate the horse and use the jaws of life to free it from the wreckage.
