Hill ‘N’ Dale Farms Announces 2020 Roster And Fees

Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms in Lexington, Ky., has released the advertised fees for its 2020 stallion roster, led once again by Horse of the Year and elite commercial sire Curlin.

Curlin, a 15-year-old son of Smart Strike, will stand for $175,000, unchanged from the 2019 breeding season.

He is the most prolific sire of seven-figure yearlings this season, including three of the four horses to eclipse that mark at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearlings Sale and the most expensive colt of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale at $4.1 million. Curlin ranks fourth on the North American sire list by progeny earnings, with more than $10.1 million.

New to the Hill ‘n’ Dale roster for 2020 is World of Trouble, a Grade 1 winner on both dirt and turf. The son of Kantharos will stand for $15,000.

Kantharos, World of Trouble’s sire, will stand for $30,000 in 2020, up from $20,000 the previous year.
