Gulfstream’s Rainbow 6 Pool Friday Guaranteed At $800,000

Gulfstream Park’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 will offer a guaranteed jackpot pool of $800,000 when racing resumes Friday with a first-race post of 1 p.m.

Friday’s Rainbow 6 begins with the fifth race, a mile claiming event for fillies and mares on the turf. The sequence will also include a $75,000 optional claiming event for 3-year-old fillies at a mile and a maiden special weight event for 3-year-olds at five furlongs on the turf.

Multiple winning tickets in Thursday’s Rainbow 6 returned $32,556.34. The sequence kicked off with Bayou Prospector, trained by Ian Wilkes and ridden by Chris Landeros, winning Gulfstream’s fifth race and returning $55.80. Other prices included Blewitt ($15.60) and Passion Factor ($17.40).

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
