Gulfstream’s Rainbow 6 Jackpot At $712,978 On New Year’s Day Program

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 18th consecutive program Sunday, growing the jackpot carryover to $712,977.91 for Monday's New Year's Day program.

First-race post time is set for noon.

Multiple tickets will all six winners were each worth $112,183.38.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day's pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The carryover jackpot pool going into Sunday's six-race sequence (Races 6-11) was $616,820.71, generating a Rainbow 6 handle of $400,714 Sunday.

The popular multi-race wager was last solved on Dec. 7, when a lucky ticketholder cashed for a $98,309.32 jackpot payoff.

Monday's six-race Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 6-11.

There will also be a Super Hi-5 carryover of $4,762.90 heading into Monday's card.

Who's Hot:  Leading rider Luis Saez doubled aboard Miss Stalwart ($9.40) in Race 3 and Arch Buddy ($16.40) in Race 7. Edgard Zayas and Tyler Gaffalione also rode two winners. Zayas scored aboard Espresso Caliente ($10) in Race 1 and Norma's Hot Dude ($28.40) in the Race 6. Tyler Gaffalione made visits to the winners circle with Third Man In ($3) in Race 2 and Flemish Cap ($19) in Race 10.
