Gulfstream’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Up To $2.3 Million; Mandatory Payout Saturday

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot at Gulfstream Park ballooned to $2,322,112.61 for Sunday’s card after going unsolved for the 27th consecutive racing day Saturday.

Post time for the Sunday’s 12-race card is set for 1:10 p.m.

A total of $605,431 was bet Saturday into the popular multi-race wager, which began with a carryover of $2,176,843.28 from Friday’s card. Multiple tickets with all six winners Saturday were each worth $112,987.24.

A mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot has been scheduled for next Saturday’s $1 million Xpressbet.com Florida Derby (G1) program. A mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6, Late Pick 5 and last-race Super Hi-5 have also been scheduled for the following day, the last racing day of the 2018-2019 Championship Meet.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that days’ pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Since the 2018-19 Championship Meet kicked off Dec. 1, the Rainbow 6 has been hit seven times, most recently for a $227,505.88 payout Feb. 15.

There will also be a Super Hi-5 carryover of $8,808.55 heading into Sunday’s race.
