Gulfstream’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Builds To $934,000 For Sunday

Gulfstream Park’s popular 20-cent Rainbow 6 will have a carryover of $934,416.83 when racing resumes Sunday with a 1:10 p.m. first race post.

Multiple tickets with all six winners in Saturday’s Rainbow 6 returned $32,241.00.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Live Oak Plantation’s homebred He’s Bankable, a winner last time out of the Sophomore Turf Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs, led gate-to-wire to win the $75,000 English Channel by 2 ½-lengths Saturday, covering 1 1/16 mile turf course in 1:43.60.

He’s Bankable, trained by Mark Casse and ridden by Miguel Vasquez, is now three for four across the turf. The son of Arch set fractions of :24.13, :48.51 and 1:12.12. Scrapper checked in second and Zippy third.

In the $75,000 Honey Ryder, Grupo 7C Racing Stable’s Camila Princess closed from last to first under a sharp ride by Vasquez to win the 1 1/16th mile event by 2 ½ lengths in 1:42.85. Camila Princess, a 3-year-old daughter of Animal Kingdom, has now won four of five starts over the turf for trainer Oscar Gonzalez.
