Gulfstream’s Rainbow 6 Carryover Builds To $91,118 For Saturday Card

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved at Gulfstream Park Friday, producing a $91,118.97 carryover for Saturday’s 11-race program, highlighted by the $100,000 Harlan’s Holiday (G3) and four other Grade 3 stakes. (First-race post time is set for noon.)

The popular multi-race wager has gone unsolved for six consecutive programs since a lucky ticketholder cashed for a $98,309.32 jackpot payoff Dec. 7.

Multiple tickets with all six winners Thursday were each worth $5,662.86.

The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket sold, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those betters holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 6-11 and will include four Grade 3 stakes: the Sugar Swirl in Race 7, the My Charmer in Race 8, the Harlan’s Holiday in Race 9 and the Tropical Turf in Race 10. The sequence will kick off with a mile maiden special weight race for 2-year-olds in Race 6 and conclude with a 1 1/16-mile maiden special weight race for 2-year-olds on turf in Race 11.
