Gulfstream’s Florida Sire Stakes Program Features $109,718 Rainbow 6 Jackpot

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the seventh straight racing day Friday, producing a $109,718.60 carryover jackpot for Saturday’s FTBOA Florida Sire Stakes program at Gulfstream Park.

Saturday’s 14-race card, highlighted by the $400,000 FSS In Reality and the $400,000 FSS My Dear Girl, will have a noon first-race post time.

Multiple Rainbow 6 tickets with all six winners Friday were each worth $3,701.06.

There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover Saturday of $5,893.68.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The popular multi-race wager was last solved Sept. 15 for a $244,778.08 jackpot payoff.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 sequence will span Races 9-14, including the My Dear Girl in Race 11 and the In Reality in Race 13.

The In Reality, the 1 1/16-mile FSS open division final, will feature a showdown between $200,000 FSS Affirmed winner Garter and Tie and $100,000 FSS victor Cajun Firecracker. Both 2-year-old colts are trained by Ralph Nicks.

The My Dear Girl, the 1 1/16-mile FSS final for fillies, has attracted a field of 13, including Cookie Dough, a 6 ½-length winner of the $200,000 FSS Susan’s Girl.

The FSS finals will be supported by six other stakes, including the $150,000 FTBOA Wildcat Heir, which will offer a rematch between multiple stakes-winning veterans Mo Cash and Mr. Jordan.

Mandatory payouts of the Rainbow 6, Late Pick 5 and Super Hi-5 are scheduled for Sunday, the closing day of the Summer Meet.

Live racing will move eight miles west to Gulfstream Park West beginning on Wednesday (1:15 first-race post time).
