Gulfstream Park: Friday’s Rainbow 6 Jackpot Pool Guaranteed At $1.5 Million

The 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool will be guaranteed at $1.5 million Friday at Gulfstream Park.

The Rainbow 6 went unsolved for the 12th straight racing day Thursday, when multiple tickets with all six winners were each worth $3,993.54.

A mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6 jackpot pool is scheduled for Saturday’s 12-race program, which will also feature the $100,000 Gulfstream Park Sprint (G3) and the $100,000 Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint (G3).

The jackpot pool is usually only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool. However, on mandatory payout days the whole pool is paid out to the bettor or bettors holding tickets with the most winners in the six-race sequence.

WHO’S HOT: Tyler Gaffalione and Luis Saez scored hat tricks. Gaffalione won three aboard Malroux ($8.80) in Race 5, Stripping ($6.80) in Race 6, and Lauda Speed ($9.80) in Race 8. Luis Saez scored aboard Exact ($3) in Race 1, Por Que No ($8.40) in Race 7 and Breaking Alone ($8.80) in Race 10.

Paco Lopez won back-to-back aboard Free To Fly ($3.60) in Race 3 and Philly Special ($5.60) in Race 4.
