Gulfstream Offers Guaranteed Pool Of $700,000 For Saturday’s Rainbow 6 Jackpot

There will be a 20-cent Rainbow 6 jackpot pool guarantee of $700,000 for Saturday’s 11-race program at Gulfstream Park that features three stakes worth $250,000 in purses.

The popular multi-race wager went unsolved Friday, when multiple tickets with all six winners each returned $523.64.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Saturday’s Rainbow 6 kicks off with the $75,000 Roar for 3-year-olds in Race 6, featuring Grade 2 winner Green Light Go. The sequence includes the $75,000 Power Break on turf in Race 9, led by Grade 1-winning millionaire Got Stormy, and $100,000 Musical Romance for Florida-bred fillies and mares sprinting seven furlongs in Race 10.

Hall of Fame jockey Edgar Prado has two mounts Saturday, With Verve in the Roar and Silent Jet in Race 7. Prado, 52, is tied with retired fellow Hall of Famer Angel Cordero Jr. at 7,057 career victories.

Notes: Jockeys Irad Ortiz Jr. and Miguel Vasquez each posted riding triples Friday. Ortiz was first with Gauzy ($4) in Race 3, Talkthetalk ($8.40) in Race 5 and multiple graded winner Tonalist‘s Shape ($3) in the $75,000 Hollywood Wildcat for 3-year-old fillies. Vasquez won with Allegedly Perfect ($9.80), a half-brother to Grade 1-winning millionaire Starship Jubilee, in Race 4 and Time to Two Step ($5.60) in Race 7, and dead-heated for first aboard Youcantcatchcurlin ($22.40) in Race 6 … 48 Farms’ 5-year-old gelding The Big Joker ($7), making just his third career start and first since December 2017, raced to a maiden victory in Friday’s finale.
