Georgina Baxter, Trainer Who Took Over Ziadie Stable, Hit With 25-Day Suspension

Florida-based trainer Georgina Baxter is currently serving a 25-day suspension for positive tests in three horses of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, the Daily Racing Form reports. According to DRF, the suspension began Feb. 24 and will run through March 19.

DRF cites documents that say the horses Fallen Leaf, Blings Express and Trev were found with “impermissible” levels of two medications in their systems — flunixin and phenylbutazone.

Baxter is a former exercise rider who assumed control of many of trainer Ralph Ziadie’s horses in 2018 after he was denied a trainer’s license. For her career, Baxter has 73 wins from 280 starts for earnings of more than $2.1 million. She won the Grade 3 Sugar Swirl Stakes in December with Lady’s Island.
