Gulfstream Park’s 72nd Fountain of Youth Day – featuring nine stakes and highlighted by Promises Fulfilled’s victory in the $400,000 Xpressbet.com Fountain of Youth (G2) – handled a record $28,541,305.

Total handle on the 14-race program was up 6.92 percent from the previous record set last year when a 13-race program produced a total handle of $26.693 million.

“We want to thank everyone who attended the races to make it such a special day as well as horsemen from throughout North America for supporting our Championship Meet,” said Gulfstream’s General Manager Bill Badgett. “We saw incredible performances today from both our equine and human athletes and we saw several horses who will be returning on Florida Derby Day March 31.”
