Foal Patrol: Comme Chez Soi Delivers Malibu Moon Filly

Comme Chez Soi, an 8-year-old mare owned by Old Tavern Farm, delivered a filly by Malibu Moon at 1 a.m. on Feb. 23 as part of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame’s Foal Patrol Season 2.

The foaling occurred nine days after the expected date, but the delivery went well and both mare and foal are in excellent health. Comme Chez Soi is one of eight mares participating in Foal Patrol Season 2. The next mare scheduled to foal is Love and Pride at Three Chimneys Farm in Versailles, Ky. She is due any day now. Comme Chez Soi is the second Foal Patrol mare to deliver this season, following LNJ Foxwoods’ With Honors, who gave birth to a Tapit filly on Feb. 4 at Claiborne Farm.

Foal Patrol is a one-of-a-kind interactive web project. Season 2 features a collection of live cameras where people can view real-time streams of several in-foal mares and the stallion Frosted. The live camera feeds will be available according to each horse’s daily schedule, set by the farm. For more information, or to sign up for news and special alerts, please visit www.foalpatrol.com.
