Empire Maker’s Stud Fee Set At $85,000 For 2020

Gainesway announced that Empire Maker’s stud fee has been set at $85,000 for the 2020 breeding season.

The sire of 12 Grade 1 winners, 62 stakes winners, and 33 graded winners, Empire Maker is responsible for such headliners as two-time Breeders’ Cup Distaff winner, three-time Eclipse Award champion, and six-time Grade 1 winner Royal Delta ($4,811,126, sold for $8.5 million), and is the grandsire of Triple Crown hero American Pharoah, 2016 Champion 2-Year-Old Male Classic Empire, and 2017 Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming.

Empire Maker’s first Gainesway-sired 2-year-old runners in 2019 included TDN ‘Rising Star’ Eight Rings, winner of the Grade 1 American Pharoah Stakes. His 2019 Keeneland September yearlings sold up to $2 million, with his Keeneland September Book 1 average $475,666.

By the influential stallion Unbridled, out of Toussaud, Empire Maker boasts progeny earnings of over $109 million.
