Dennis’ Moment Returns To Romans’ Barn At Gulfstream Park

Promising 2-year-old Dennis’ Moment has returned from his winter vacation and is back in trainer Dale Romans’ care. Jason Loutsch, racing manager for the Albaugh Family Stables, Tweeted a photo of the Tiznow colt upon his arrival at Gulfstream Park.

Plans call for Dennis’ Moment to make his 2020 debut in the G2 Fountain of Youth Stakes on Feb. 29. The colt owns two impressive victories from his four career starts, including a geared-down win in the G3 Iroquois which made him the favorite in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Santa Anita.

Unfortunately, the colt stumbled badly at the start, nearly unseating jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr., and was never able to recover. Dennis’ Moment finished last of the eight-horse Juvenile field, but escaped the race without injury.

The colt has spent the past month and a half at Kentucky’s WinStar Farm for a break from the track.
