Danzing Candy To Stand At Rancho San Miguel

Multiple graded stakes winner Danzing Candy will enter stud next year at Rancho San Miguel in San Miguel, California, it was reported by the Daily Racing Form Thursday.

The 4-year-old son of Twirling Candy will stand for an advertised fee of $5,000.

Danzing Candy was trained by Bob Baffert and raced for the partnership of Halo Farms and Jim and Dianne Bashor. The colt was retired in August after suffering an ankle fracture during a gallop prior to the G2 Pat O'Brien Stakes.

Danzing Candy had six wins in 11 career starts for earnings of $700,930. He won the G2 San Felipe Stakes at age three, and took G2 San Carlos Stakes and G3 Lone Star Park Handicap this season.

Bred in Kentucky by Halo Farms, Danzing Candy is out of the Songandaprayer mare, Talkin and Singing.
