CTHS Ontario Canadian Premier Yearling Sale Still On-Schedule For Sept. 3

In response to COVID-19, the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (Ontario Division) Board of Directors have discussed and are planning to host the Canadian Premier Yearling Sale on Sept. 3, 2020.

The CTHS is moving forward with the intention of conducting the yearling sale as scheduled. If the unknowns at this time change because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it will plan and adapt after consultations with members, and prepare to facilitate and focus on new arrangements. The sale is of imperative importance to the Ontario Thoroughbred breeders and purchasers, and our focus is to produce and provide a successful sale.

The CTHS will continue to monitor and assess the pandemic situation, as health officials and government provide updated information, and will keep you advised and updated as circumstances develop.

Deadline for entries is June 1, with a refund in all fees if yearlings are withdrawn by July 15. Contracts will be mailed out in May.

Additionally, due to COVID-19, the CTHS Ontario June annual awards dinner honoring breeders’ success in 2019 has been cancelled. The board has made a resolution that this event will be held in 2021 in conjunction with honoring breeders’ successes in 2020.
