COVID-19: NHC Tour Announces Rule Changes Due To Travel, Gathering Restrictions

The NTRA sent the following message Tuesday about rule changes for this year’s NHC Tour due to travel and gathering restrictions for the coronavirus:

Due to the escalating and evolving circumstances involving the COVID-19 pandemic and current and pending policies barring on-track spectators at racetracks across the United States, we are revising the NHC Tour Rules relating to first-half-year Leader Board points.

The requirement for an on-track score to maximize first-half-year Tour points has been eliminated.

A participant’s top four scores, accumulated from January 25, 2020 through July 26, 2020, will count toward the NHC Tour first-half-year Leader Board points total. An individual’s top four scores may come from either an online or on-track contest. For example, if an individual registers five online scores, the top four online scores will be recorded on the first-half-year Leader Board.

Please note, there may be future adjustments and changes to the 2020 NHC Tour rules in the near future should circumstances change.

These are unprecedented times. We will continue to monitor the situation and let you know of any changes to the NHC Tour schedule or NHC Tour Rules as quickly as possible.
