Circle 8 Ranch Designated Official Training Center By Kentucky Commission

Chief Executive Officer Troy Levy has confirmed that Circle 8 Ranch has recently been recognized by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission to record official timed workouts – which will be reported by Equibase.

“Our 200-acre farm in Versailles, Kentucky offers affordable partnerships and gives investors the benefits of ownership at a fraction of the cost. Now that we have been recognized by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission as a Kentucky Training Center, we can focus on preparing our partnership horses for racing on location,” said Levy.

Located in the heart of Kentucky thoroughbred country, Circle 8 Ranch features three barns with a total of 36 stalls, several tack rooms, wash stalls, an office and a lab area. The yearling barn has eight 15-by-15-foot stalls, and there are 14 fenced paddocks, six large grazing fields, a 5/8ths-mile track, and a 5/8ths all-terrain gallop track.

With its multiple tracks, rolling hills, uphill woodchip gallop, and turf oval, Circle 8 Ranch is in an ideal position to prepare partnership horses for racing at a variety of venues, in the expert care of trainer Michelle Nihei. Nihei has built a career on a foundation of track success, including graded stakes-winners Prince Will I Am, Regalo Mia and Upgrade, and runners who have earned in excess of $5.2 million.  Nihei had a recent Circle 8 winner, Overzealous, who was claimed at Gulfstream Park for $6,250, then was lost via claim, but not before collecting more than $26,000 for the partnership.

There are currently several well-bred 2-year-old fillies working at Circle 8 Ranch in preparation for their initial career starts. They include: Dur a Cuire, a daughter of Street Boss; Aizu (by Japan); and Miss Over There (by Awesome of Course). Also: Tizemotionalgold, a daughter of Tiznow whose 3-year-old half-sister, Motion Emotion, finished second this year in two Gr. III races at Oaklawn Park, the Fantasy and the Honeybee, ran in the Kentucky Oaks, and has earned $253,845.

Strategically located in Kentucky, Circle 8 Ranch offers a unique advantage to racehorse owners including advance knowledge of exceptional upcoming offerings, access to the best stallions, and information on one-of-a-kind individual horses at auction. Group partnerships are available for investors to purchase a percentage of a horse, while spreading the financial risks and expenses among all partners.
