Cairo Prince Colt Brings $350,000 To Lead Day 2 Of Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Sale

A juvenile colt sired by Cairo Prince commanded a final bid of $350,000 on Tuesday, the highest-priced horse in the second session of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Old In Training sale. Consigned by Bobby Dodd as Hip 418, the colt was purchased by West Bloodstock.

This colt is the second foal out of the Fusaichi Pegasus mare Perfect Pegasus, a half-sister to graded stakes winner Perfect Officer. He is from the immediate family of Grade/Group 1 winners Full of Hope (GB), Westbury, and Koko Mambo.

Median price at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale is trending toward $40,000 as of mid-afternoon, up from $35,000 in 2017. The average, however, is trending slightly lower than the 2017 figures.
